For many Pagans, coming up with your own prayers or spells can seem hard to do. Remember that they do not need to rhyme or be a poem, but that they do need to be from the heart. Below is my personal Ostara prayer for this year, let it inspire you.
Said to the first light of Ostara:
Good morning spring time, it seems like I have been waiting for your warming and renewing energies for many years. Although this last winter was not severely snowy for us here in the Puget Sound, it has been long and rainy. Great Goddess I know that I am no longer in the high deserts of Nevada and that only moving back will cure my heartache and longing for family, friends, and the places where I connect with you the best, but my work here is not done yet and I can not go home. With your spring awakening I ask for you help and there are many things that I need help in completing. As the wheel of the year turns and the days become longer and warmer, please help my husband and I become parents through adoption, please help us free ourselves from the support we pay for children that are not ours and please help me win the battle with the book store and have them make the payment to me. I know this is a lot to ask already but I have more as well, as I work very hard to be a voice for the animals, please help my words become louder so that more lives can be saved. May our spring be warm, our summer be hot, our crops be strong, healthy and bountiful and our hearts be full of love. So mote it be!
