City of Chicago, Mayor Rahm Emanuel, was recently quoted saying,“Mariano’s continues to demonstrate its commitment to communities across Chicago, “By creating 400 new jobs at the Edgewater store location, left by the Dominicks Food closing at this same location before Xmas. Mariano’s will provide an important economic engine for the neighborhood while ensuring residents have access to fresh, healthy food options.”
On an initial store tour, Mariano’s Edgewater does appears be a true experience for shoppers. Grocery shopping will no longer be a chore, with their highest-quality produce with over 200 organic options, along with a made-to-order smoothie bar and gelato shop. Importantly with this newly acquired Edgewater location, Mariano’s adds approximately 400 new team members to the 7,700 careers created in the last three years across all Mariano’s locations.
