Michael’s Pizzeria opened another location on the Promenade just recently. This adds another reason to wander to the resurging downtown area as excellent options are increasing by the month.
Michael’s is known for their authentic Italian (Napoli) style pizza and there is no arguing the quality. There are several variations of ‘pizze’ offered on the menu plus one or two pizzas of the day. The margherita pizza is simple but the flavors really say otherwise as this is a good option for a first visit. Other choices include sausage and mushroom, prosciutto, and clams toppings. For those looking for to step away from marinara there are also ‘pizze bianca’ choices.
While waiting for your pizza there are many meat and cheese choices from different prosciuttos to homemade mozzarella. An appetizer to consider is the speck with the melted mozzarella. And if there is room for dessert there are the traditional Italian desserts plus more. Michael’s also has a handful of beers on draft and pretty extensive wine list.
This location is quite a bit larger than that in Naples. In addition to the regular seating, patrons can sit at the bar and watch the chefs in action. This location also features an outdoor patio with heater lamps that faces onto the promenade for fresh air and people watching.
Michael’s is a great addition to the growing downtown area, which provides a great dinner option any day of week, but especially on Mondays when there is a 2x1 margherita pizza special.
