Hey, Seattle booklovers: Get out and celebrate this weekend with Phinney Books– the new bookstore owned by Tom Nissley and Laura Silverstein in the location formerly known as Santoro’s Books! It's grand opening weekend!

The Grand Opening of Phinney Books will be Saturday, June 21. Hours are 10 am to 8 pm. Enjoy refreshments, storytelling, and the new collection of books, bags, and other delights, all at a 10% discount for that day.

Take a peek at Phinney Books’ facebook page for a preview.

If you’re interested in getting news from Phinney Books in your inbox, they’re also offering a weekly newsletter. You can sign up on their webpage.

The booklovers of the Pacific Northwest are excited! It's a delight to have new booksellers joining the fold. Nissley, a former Jeopardy champion and author of what might be 2013's best book for bibliophiles, A Reader's Book of Days, and his wife Laura Silverstein, the founder of Glittersweet, the company that makes what might be Seattle's sassiest (and most waterproof) purses and bags, are diving into the industry head-first. Let's get out and support this new store. They will be hosting events, giving recommendations, selecting books that fit the neighborhood, and supporting local authors-- all the wonderful customer service and community-building you'd hope for from a neighborhood bookstore.

I can't wait to see the renovations! The store will feature custom-built bookshelves and other displays. I think it's going to be gorgeous.

Phinney Books is located at 7405 Greenwood Ave. N. in Seattle, WA in the Phinney Ridge neighborhood.
