Rapper Remy Ma has come back onto the scene in a big way. The recently released rapper was incarcerated for six years upon serving reduced prison sentence for an assault on her then friend Makeda Barnes-Joseph. For those not familiar with the details of the case in 2008 over there was a dispute with Makeda Barnes-Joseph over $3000 whilst in the car there was a struggle and over a gun, and it accidentally went off and struck the victim in his abdomen. Remy faced up to 13 years in prison but upon apologizing to both the victim and his family got a reduction to six years. In her first on camera media interview in seven years Remy appeared on BET's 106 and Park to discuss her future, her relationship with husband Papoose, as well as the state of female Hip Hop. Remy confirmed that there is interest on the part of DJ Khaled for signing her, but she hasn't taken time to accept any offer at this time. She also went on to go over her marriage to a Papoose the two were married while she was in prison and have been married for seven years while she was serving her sentence. It is rumored that the couple may appear on the 5th season of Love and Hip Hop, but nothing has been confirmed. While there has been well documented that there have been strife between herself and Nicki Minaj in the past Remy goes on to say that she has a great respect for what she has done in the industry. She just wishes that there were more female rappers out today. There are rumors out there that there will be track out soon to feature her, and newcomer Iggy Azalea only time will tell if this is true. For now, we have latest released track of her and Jadakiss & French Montana called Megadeath. Fans of Remy Ma cannot wait to see what is in store for the rapper next.
