Truly, I am blown away by how people in the US abuse themselves with food. Do they even know what they are doing?
I go into McDonald's almost daily. Even more often some days. I know exactly what I am ordering. I should add that I burn through a ton of calories so I'm fortunate in that respect. Of course I also show others how to get to that place, but it's obvious not many people take it seriously. Too bad for them
What a way to pass the time
Something I do when in a restaurant by myself is observe the people and what they are eating. No surprises here. Fat parents bringing fat kids to eat almost always order the worst crap on the menu. Of which there are many choices in the fast food world.
Because it is usually morning when I hit the McD's, I see sloppy-fat parents pumping theei kids full of fat and sugar on their ways to school.
It is no wonder little kids turn into visual clones of their parents.
My favorite meal
Not really. You would have to pay me to order a Big Breakfast with Hotcakes. This thing ought to be a national disgrace except the US is treats it more like a national hero.

To their credit
The chain does list all the nutrition information about their menu. On the BACK of the tray liners.
Is their an antidote for what we are turning into obesity-wise
Not anytime soon. I'm not confident that the country will ever recognize that eating is not a sport.
Until we change how we think about eating and exercise each new generation is going to be fatter and more unhealthy than the one before. Just look around.
Almost 30 years ago a female friend said a school kid would be smart to go into the specialty of treating childhood heart disease and type-2 diabetes. She was correct.
The way healthcare is headed you may not be able to get treated, which means prevention is still the best cure.
