Weird Al Yankovic fans got a rare and live treat on Monday night as he performed at 2014 Emmy Awards. The talented entertainer gave a very interesting performance that covered some of the leading songs currently heard on television with a twist on the lyrics. According to Newsday on Monday the moment was very much a popular with music fans as it was one of the few musical numbers presented on the show.

With the theme songs of television being so popular, the idea of changing up the words and offering a unique angle of the lyrics seemed perfect for the show. From “Mad Men” and “Game of Thrones” to “Scandal” and “Modern Family” the moment was complete with costumed dancers as Weird Al quickly moved through the medley performance with ease. According to Time Magazine on Monday, the moment was more exciting than most of the performances at the VMAs held the night before.

The best part had to be the help that Andy Samberg offered playing Joffrey Baratheon on stage. The moment definitely was epic and it carried over to the next segment when his jokingly suggested that the wine he as drinking was poisonous and that he might die (which was along the story line of “Game of Thrones.”
