The Ultimate Weapon

In 250 words or more, write a description of your version of the ultimate weapon. What features would it have? Is it a futuristic science fiction weapon, a magically enhanced fantasy weapon, or an amalgamation of both types? What primary features would it have? Does it include any features for situations other than combat? What type of fuel does your weapon require, if any?

Challenge: After you finish writing your description of the ultimate weapon, sketch some blueprints for the weapon or draw a picture of it.

A Bump in the Night

In 400 words or more, describe the most frightening creature you can imagine. Write in detail about the features that make it so creepy. Is it the creature’s individual features that scare you, or the sum of them? Are these features solely for combat or defense, or did they evolve with more than one purpose behind them?

Challenge: The creature is neither humanoid, nor based off anything that is familiar to you (i.e. from folklore, mythology, or legend). It must be entirely original.

Bonus Challenge: Write an additional scene or story in which you interact with the creature. Is it as frightening as it appears when you begin to interact with it?
