When faced with a blank page (or screen), sometimes you need a little help to your creative juices flowing. When you're stuck, sometimes working on something different is just what you need to get back on track, and writing prompts can be great help for that.

The following are invented book titles.  Using the title as a jumping-off point, write a synopsis of the book, including what genre it is.

  • Slip into Something More Spidery
  • Trapped in a Cabinet
  • The Truth About Tuesday
  • Ice Machines, Remote Controls, and the Gideons
  • 21 Miles Away

Happy scribbling!

[NOTE: If any of these titles belong to actual books, published or unpublished, it is a coincidence. They were invented for the purposes of this exercise.]
