As you can see in the image to the left, we have a low pressure moving through the Central Plains and Midwest. This will help steer a shortwave trough across North Florida through Monday.


We can expect an increase in precipitation during the evening hours of Sunday night as the warm front approaches from the south.

On Monday, periods of rain, with a few isolated thunderstorms. So bring the umbrella, and add some extra time to your commute into Jacksonville, during the early morning rush hour.


Midweek, we will see cooler temperatures return. Highs in the low 60's and lows in the low 30's and some upper 20's in the rural areas west and north of town.

Weekly Weather Update:


Monday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 72. South wind between 5 - 10 mph. Rain likely and possibly a thunderstorm after 12 pm.  Chance of rain is 60%.


Monday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 52. South wind around 10 mph turning from the west. A chance of showers before 12 am. Chance of precipitation is 40%.


Tuesday: Mostly sunny, with a high near 69. West wind between 10 - 15 mph.


Tuesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 45.


Wednesday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 63. A 20% chance of rain.


Wednesday Night:  Partly cloudy, with a low around 33. A 10% chance of rain.


Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 55.


Thursday Night: Clear, with a low around 30.


Friday: Sunny, with a high near 60.


Friday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 36.
