Tre Piani, located in the Princeton Forrestal Village is known for it's elegant cuisine, made with local, fresh ingredients but it's not known for it's affordability. For the average person, Tre Piani is the kind of restaurant you go to for special occasions, and not necessarily for every day dinners, which is why it's so fantastic that Tre Piani offers a more casual, more affordable bar section called Tre Bar. Tre Bar is known for it's weeknight specials and happy hours. It's a great way to experience the food and elegance of Tre Piani but at a discounted price.
Welcoming and cozy, Tre Bar offers plenty of seating at the bar, at smaller tables around the bar, as well as comfortable couch seating. Happy hour at Tre Bar lasts from 4:30pm to 6:30pm Monday-Friday and is a great way to try many of their specialty cocktails and food favorites. Wines by the glass are offered at half price and their signature drinks, like the strawberry basil mojito, are $8. The happy hour menu is extensive and offers items from burgers to pastas to light appetizers and salads.
If you can't make happy hour, Tre Bar also offers daily weeknight specials that you won't want to miss. For instance, every Friday night, champagne is only $5 per glass until close. On Mondays stop in to try some local cheese for free. Be sure to call the restaurant before you go to see what specials are offered that night. Tre Bar offers many great ways to try local cuisine at an excellent price.
