Phew, what a slow week for news. However, it was a big week for game releases what with Titanfall and Dark Souls 2 launching. Needless to say this writer wants to get back to those games too, so let’s speed through this week’s News, Games, Geeks.


  • Double Fine revealed Costume Quest 2 is in in the works and will be out by Halloween 2014
  • The Witcher 3 is being delayed a full year until February 2015
  • Shovel Knight is also getting delayed, but no new release date was given
  • The Kickstarter RPG Festival Of Magic, covered here, is being renamed Earthlock: Festival of Magic and has reappeared on Kickstarter
  • A Power Puff Girls game, Defenders of Townsville, was announced
  • Someone just broke a Million Gamer Score on the Xbox 360 this past week
  • Rovio revealed the next Angry Birds game is going to be a turn-based RPG called Angry Birds Epic
  • A slurry of indie games were announced for the PS4
  • A group of fans is going to translate the PSP game, Final Fantasy Type-0, by August 8
  • Keiji Inafune’s latest collaboration, Azure Striker Gunvolt, which was announced last week, was now revealed to be coming to the West this summer
  • NIS America revealed Disgaea characters will appear in their upcoming PS Vita RPG, Demon Gaze
