As the year draws to a close, so does the news. It wasn't a dry week by any means, but it wasn't great either. And as a note, aside from the news, the rest of the year for this writer's contribution to Examiner will focus on reflecting on the games of 2013 starting Monday with Christmas themed games starting the following week. That said lets get to this week's News, Games, Geeks.

News

  • Metal Gear Solid: Ground Zeroes will launch on March 18, 2014
  • The Witch and the Hundred Knight was announced to release on March 25, 2014 for the PS3
  • The Borderlands 2 Christmas themed DLC is called How Marcus Saved Mercenary Day and will launch on December 17
  • The 3DS received an update this week that combined Wii U and 3DS eShop accounts and integrated the Miiverse into the 3DS’ system
  • The Steam Machine prototypes will ship out to testers on December 13
  • The Elder Scrolls Online will release on April 4, 2014 for PCs and sometime in June for the PS4 and Xbox One
  • Namco Bandai announced their 15th installation in the Tales of franchise, Tales of Zestiria, for the PS3
  • Fable Anniversary, a remake of the first game, will launch on February 4, 2014 for the Xbox 360
