Weekend wrap-up: Keselowski takes Kentucky checkered flag

Sprint Cup Series – Brad Keselowski dominated Saturday night’s Quaker State 400 at Kentucky Speedway, leading 199 laps in the 267-lap event. Kyle Busch finished second, followed by Ryan Newman, Matt Kenseth and Dale Earnhardt Jr. Jeff Gordon, Kevin Harvick, Kasey Kahne, Joey Logano and Jimmie Johnson rounded out the top 10.

Nationwide Series – Harvick took the win on Friday night in the John R. Elliott Hero Campaign 300 Presented by Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over at Kentucky Speedway, with Keselowski and Busch in second and third, respectively. Paul Menard finished fourth, followed by Ryan Blaney in fifth. Brendan Gaughan, Ty Dillon, Brian Scott, Kyle Larson and Elliott Sadler rounded out the top 10.

Camping World Truck Series – Busch took the win in Thursday night’s UNOH 225 at Kentucky Speedway ahead of his teammate Darrell Wallace Jr. and Blaney. Timothy Peters finished fourth, followed by Keselowski in fifth. Matt Crafton, Austin Dillon, Ron Hornaday Jr., Johnny Sauter and Ben Kennedy rounded out the top 10.

NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series – Don Schumacher Racing drivers Antron Brown (Top Fuel) and Matt Hagan (Funny Car) brought home Wallys from Schumacher’s home track of Route 66 Raceway in Joliet, Illinois, home of the O’Reilly Auto Parts Route 66 NHRA Nationals. Vincent Nobile (Pro Stock) and Hector Arana Jr. (Pro Stock Motorcycle) also walked away from Route 66 with wins on Sunday.

Verizon IndyCar Series – The series visited Reliant Park in Houston, Texas for two races this weekend. On Saturday, rookie Carlos Huertas won the first IndyCar race of his career, besting Juan Pablo Montoya and Carlos Munoz; Sebastien Bourdais and James Hinchcliffe rounded out the top five. On Sunday, Simon Pagenaud outlasted rookie Mikhail Aleshin to win Race No. 2; rookie Jack Hawkesworth, Charlie Kimbal and Bourdais rounded out the top five.
