Sprint Cup Series – Brad Keselowski led five times for 53 laps to pick up the checkered flag Sunday in the KOBALT 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Dale Earnhardt Jr., who led 51 laps in the race, ran out of fuel on the final lap while leading but hung on for a second-place finish, followed by Paul Menard, Joey Logano and Carl Edwards. Jimmie Johnson, Ryan Newman, Kasey Kahne, Jeff Gordon and Matt Kenseth rounded out the top 10.
Nationwide Series – Keselowski made it a weekend sweep with his win over Kyle Busch in Saturday’s Boyd Gaming 300 at LVMS. Keselowski led four times for 144 laps to earn his first win at the 1.5-mile track. Kyle Larson, Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Chase Elliott completed the top five, with Matt Kenseth, Brian Scott, Trevor Bayne, Chris Buescher and Regan Smith rounding out the top 10.
Next weekend – NASCAR’s Sprint Cup and Nationwide Series head to Bristol Motor Speedway, while the NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series visits Auto Plus Raceway at Gainesville for the historic Amalie Oil NHRA GatorNationals.
