Sprint Cup Series – Jimmie Johnson took home the checkered flag and the points lead from Sunday’s AAA Texas 500, beating Hendrick Motorsports teammate Dale Earnhardt Jr. to the finish line after leading 255 of the race’s 334 laps. Joey Logano finished third, followed by Matt Kenseth and Kasey Kahne. Johnson holds a seven-point advantage over Kenseth with two races remaining in the Chase for the Sprint Cup, at Phoenix and Homestead-Miami.
Nationwide Series – Brad Keselowski beat Denny Hamlin to the checkered flag in Saturday’s O’Reilly Auto Parts Challenge, earning his sixth Nationwide Series win of the season. Sam Hornish Jr. finished third, followed by Matt Kenseth and Austin Dillon. Dillon holds a six-point lead over Hornish Jr. in the points standings with two races remaining.
Camping World Truck Series – Ty Dillon took the win in Friday night’s WinStar World Casino 350, holding off Johnny Sauter and Ron Hornaday Jr. Brendan Gaughan and Justin Lofton rounded out the top five. Matt Crafton, who finished 10th, has a 46-point lead on James Buescher in Truck Series points with two races left.
