NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series – Alexis DeJoria earned her first Funny Car Wally Sunday at Wild Horse Pass Motorsports Park in Chandler, Arizona, home of the CARQUEST Auto Parts NHRA Nationals. Antron Brown (Top Fuel) and Allen Johnson (Pro Stock) also visited the winner’s circle near Phoenix.

Camping World Truck Series – Kyle Busch edged out Timothy Peters at the finish line by just 0.016-seconds to complete his “quad-fecta” at Daytona International Speedway; Busch had previous wins in the ARCA Racing Series, Sprint Cup Series and Nationwide Series at Daytona, but had three top finishes of second in Trucks. Johnny Sauter completed a Toyota sweep of the top three spots, followed by Ryan Truex and Ron Hornaday Jr.

Nationwide Series – Another close finish saw Regan Smith edge out Brad Keselowski in the Nationwide Series opener at Daytona by just 0.013-seconds. Trevor Bayne, Busch and Elliott Sadler rounded out the top five.

Sprint Cup Series – The Junior Nation can rest a little easier now, as Dale Earnhardt Jr. wrapped up his second Daytona 500 victory after a rain delay of more than six hours. Denny Hamlin finished second in front of Keselowski, Jeff Gordon and Jimmie Johnson.
