Nationwide Series – Rookie Chase Elliott won his third race of the season Saturday night at Chicagoland Speedway, home of the EnjoyIllinois.com 300. Trevor Bayne finished in the runner-up spot, followed by Kyle Larson, Kasey Kahne and Ty Dillon. With the win, Elliott retakes the points lead from teammate Regan Smith, who sits seven points back Elliott; Elliott Sadler is third, eight points behind Elliott.

NHRA Mello Yello Drag Racing Series – Robert Hight won the All-John Force Racing Funny Car final over his boss and father-in-law John Force at the Mopar Mile-High NHRA Nationals at Bandimere Speedway near Denver, Colorado. JR Todd beat Brittany Force in the Top Fuel final; it was Brittany Force’s third runner-up finish of the season. Allen Johnson beat teammate Jeg Coughlin Jr. in the Pro Stock final, while Andrew Hines defeated Michael Ray in the Pro Stock Motorcycle final.

Verizon IndyCar Series – After rain delayed Race No. 1 of the double-header Honda Indy Toronto from Saturday to Sunday morning, Sebastien Bourdais took the checkered flag in the first race at Toronto’s Exhibition Place. Helio Castroneves finished second, followed by Tony Kanaan, Simon Pagenaud and Scott Dixon. In Race No. 2, road-race ace Mike Conway earned another victory for Ed Carpenter Racing, beating Kanaan to the checkered. Will Power, Charlie Kimball and Takuma Sato rounded out the top five.
