The winter weather has truly impacted many runners and their training schedules.

This weekend (February 15-16, 2014) there are ample opportunities to get out and run. The race in Ship Bottom has been cancelled and the organizers are trying to reschedule the event.

The Manasquan Beach Run is all set to go rain, snow or shine on Saturday. It is a 2 mile run with a combination of road and beach. It’s always a fun event.

On Sunday the Ocean Running Club concludes their Winter Series at Ocean County Park in Lakewood.

The Jersey Shore Running Club’s Hot Chocolate Run will go on as scheduled this Sunday from Bodman Park in Middletown. A great place to do a long run.

Saturday, February 15, 9 a.m. 5k, Run for a Healthy Community, Ship Bottom, N.J. Cancelled - will be rescheduled.

Saturday, February 15, 2 miles. 11 a.m. Mid Winter Beach Run, Manasquan, N.J.

Sunday, February 16, 8:30 a.m. 3, 6, 10 plus miles, Sunday Hot Chocolate Run, Bodman Park, Middletown, N.J.

Sunday, February 16, 4 Miles, ORC Winter Series, Ocean County Park, Lakewood, N.J
