With the beautiful weather coming to the New York City area this weekend, it will be a great weekend to spend some time outdoors running. However, the race circuit is quiet this weekend with only the NYRR Al Gordon Classic in Prospect Park on Saturday, February 25, which is already sold out.
The Febapple Frozen Fifty will be held on Saturday, February 25 as well in Maplewood, New Jersey. Four race distances are available, with races kicking off at 7 a.m. There will be 50 mile, 50 kilometer, 20 mile and 10 mile races.
For those looking for a group run, Prospect Park Track Club will host its weekly Saturday run for members and non-members. Participants are asked to meet at Grand Army Plaza at 8 a.m. On Sunday, February 26, JackRabbit Sports' Upper West Side store (140 West 72nd Street) will host a group run at 8 a.m. All are welcome.
