On Saturday, October 5, 2013 in Horsham, Pennsylvania, Pennypack Farm and Education Center will celebrate it's annual Harvest Festival. This family friendly free event is a great way to participate in fall activities and explore a real working local farm. Activities on the schedule for the day include live music, food, face painting, hay rides, scarecrow making, children's games, pumpkin painting, sand art, and many green vendors. Some activities require a small fee. Proceeds will benefit the Pennypack Farm and Education Center, a non-profit organization.
Located at 685 Mann Road, Horsham, Pa, 19044, Pennypack Farm and Education Center is celebrating it's tenth year in operation. The farm's mission: Making local sustainable agriculture an important part of our community through farming, education, and community events. Through a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) program and an educational program, this farm has been a vital part of the community. The Harvest Festival is a great way to learn more about sustainable local farming and to learn about being a member of a CSA.
