FRIDAY, AUGUST 15, 2014Jessica Fligg Art Exhibit

Description: Jessica Fligg is an artist that works in both watercolor and oils. Her paintings are inspired by her surroundings. Growing up in New Hampshire she spent many summers camping and hiking with her family. She has a love for the beauty that she is surrounded by, as well as for art. Her paintings have been accepted into galleries and shows throughout New Hampshire. Including: AVA Gallery in Lebanon NH, WREN Gallery, Bethlehem NH, The Gallery at the Rey Center, Waterville Valley, NH, and MWVAA, North Conway NH.

Being a juried member of the Mount Washington Valley Arts Association (MWVAA) she has had paintings in group shows. She also had a solo show through the MWVAA, sponsored by M&D Productions, called “The New England Landscape”, in August of 2012. Newfound Audubon Center – Paradise Point

About the Center Located on the beautiful northern shore of Newfound Lake, the Newfound Audubon Center is comprised of three wildlife sanctuaries, the Paradise Point Nature Center, Ash Cottage at Hebron Marsh Sanctuary and the Bear Mountain Sanctuary. During the summer months, the Nature Center offers many programs for all ages, several interactive exhibits, and canoe and kayak rentals. With sanctuary trails open all year, there is always something to do.

To register for a program, please contact the Newfound Audubon Center at (603) 744-3516 from May through September and leave a detailed message. You may also email any inquiries toejohnson@nhaudubon.org. Why Visit? The Paradise Point, Hebron Marsh, and Bear Mountain Sanctuary trails are open year-round to bird watchers and hikers, Nordic skiers and snowshoers. Paradise Point and Hebron Marsh extend to the water’s edge, allowing visitors to experience more of Newfound Lake’s habitat, while Bear Mountain’s hillside habitat exemplifies the beauty of New Hampshire’s woodlands.

Family Fun Day

Description: August 16 FAMILY FUN DAY schedule

  • Starting off the festivities at 11:00 a.m. is the Hebron Conservation Commission Hike.
  • Following that there are four events starting at 2:00 p.m. The Cribbage Contest will be held at the Gazebo Plymouth Police Canine Demonstration will be on the Common Hebron Library will be holding its Book Sale from 2-4 pm.
  • If you have a Unique or Vintage Vehicle be sure to bring it by for the Unique Vintage Vehicle Show from 2-4 p.m.
  • Also be sure to get your Dessert Contest Entries in at 2:00 p.m.
  • At 3:00 p.m. Mike Whitney will be performing a variety of tunes.
  • Be sure to bring the kids by for the kids games at 4:00 p.m. on the Common.
  • Get into the groove at 5:00 p.m. with Kid Jazz playing swing music and bop on over to the Hebron Fire Department barbecue.
  • Annie and the Orphans will be taking the stage at 7:00 p.m. playing their always great selection of songs.
  • At 8:30 p.m. North Star Fireworks will begin their wonderful fireworks display.

Natalie Turgeon Band – In Concert
