Let’s face it as much as we desire having clean shaven legs the chore of getting it done is no fun. Still it is a necessary evil, especially during the warmer months. Seriously, who wants to hit the beach or boardwalk in short shorts or the beach without being stubble free? Not me!

Jojoba Exfoliant
Jojoba Company

So for those daring to go bare, here are some tips and products that can get you smooth sailing in no time with little effort.

The Prep
A little secret I have found for helping to prevent ingrown hairs is by exfoliating my legs at least twice weekly. I know that seems like an additional thing to do in the shower but it really does help. Try the JoJoba Company's Jojoba Beads and Bamboo Facial Exfoliant.

Lathering up
As much as I have always invested in the perfect shave cream there have been times where I have been out or gone away and forgot to pack my favorite foam. No worries there are other alternatives that you can use. A nice moisturizing soap or even hair conditioner can do the trick. Try Dove's Sensitive Skin Unscented Beauty Bar.

Taking it off
Traversing the razor aisle at your local retailer is nothing short of confusing. I mean really how many types can there possibly be? Schick Intuition is fantastic because it comes with its own shave cream attached and it gives an amazingly close shave. For the traditionalist the movement for razors has gone towards having more blades. The theory it seems to be that having more blades can give a smoother shave. Try the ceramic coated blades shields your skin from razor burns.

After Care
A common complaint after shaving is that the skin can feel a little dry, chafed and sensitive. A good gentle soothing moisturizer is a good way to have your legs looking and feeling their best after. Try Vaseline’s Spray & Go Moisturizer its cooling aloe will help calm irritations store in the fridge for a real cooling effect!
