Bernstein barely squeezed by Torres in Week 6, this week they faced a hungry Contreras team that is looking for sole possession of 1st place in Central League standings. The Dragons had won their last three games and were not going to let the Cobras come into their house and win. They added another W to there record by beating the Cobras 39-14.

After both posting big wins in Week 6, Dorsey (3-3, 1-0) and Crenshaw (2-4, 1-0) faced-off in this intense Coliseum League rivalry. The Cougars feeling confident going into week 7 used that confidence to their advantage. By giving a beating to the Dons winning 41-0.

Still undefeated, Arleta (6-0, 3-0) looks to hold off visiting North Hollywood, who is hungry to upset and shake up East Valley League standings. The Mustangs were the first on the board in the first. That is when domination continued. The Mustangs scored 34 points before the half ended. The Huskies went into the half down 40-0. The Mustangs weren’t finished they scored more points in the third and fourth quarters. The Huskies finally got onto the board in the fourth but it was a little too late as the Mustangs won 53-6.

Roosevelt (6-0, 2-0) looks to remain undefeated and in control of the Eastern League as they face a solid South East (6-1, 2-1 league) team who took a tough loss to Garfield (3-3, 2-0) in Week 6. The Jaguars tried to get back into the W column Friday night but were unable to do so as they strong and still undefeated Rough Riders won 38-27. South Gate (4-3, 2-1) visited Garfield (3-3, 2-0) in a key matchup of the very competitive Eastern League. The Bulldogs came out strong and shooting for the end zone. They scored 35 points in the first half. The Rams decided to take matters into their own hands in the second half, scoring 14 points out of the gate in the third quarter. Unfortunately they couldn’t close the deal due to the tough Bulldogs defense. The Bulldogs won 57-33

After a tough loss to Carson (2-4, 1-0), San Pedro (4-2, 0-1) looks to knock off reigning CIFLACS Champion Narbonne (4-2, 1-0) and remain in the running for the Marine League title. The Gauchos coming off a win last Friday looked to stay strong. No points were put on the board in the first, but the second quarter was a different story. The Gauchos put 12 on the board before the half was over. The Pirates came out with a high intensity and scored the first points in the second half. They then used their defense to hold off the Gauchos. The Gauchos made two crucial mistakes and gave the Pirates 4 easy points late in the fourth quarter, but it wasn’t enough as the Gauchos slipped past a tough Pirates team 12-11.

After a tough loss to Granada Hills (3-3, 1-) in Week 6, Birmingham (3-3, 0-1) looks climb back the West Valley League standings. They face a solid El Camino Real (4-2, 1-0) team that's played tough on defense. The Patriots were able to go up on the Conquistadores 18-6 before half time. The Patriots continued to have their way with the Conquistadores as they outscored them and won 32-12. After a big Week 6 win over Cleveland (2-4, 0-1), Taft (3-3, 1-0) faced a Granada Hills team that's energized after knocking off Birmingham (3-3, 0-1) in Week 6. The Toreadors and the Highlanders both scored 14 points in the first two quarters of the game. This was an intense game going to come down to the very end. Defense played a big role in the third quarter but the Highlanders worked there magic on offense and scored 14 points to lead them to victory winning 14-28

Venice (4-2, 1-0) has not lost a Western League game since Week 7 in 2005, they face a much improved University (4-2, 1-0) team that's bettered their 2012 win total in only 6 games this season. Venice took it to University crushing them 48-0.
