The Trenton Titans got news late on Thursday night that rookie netminder Scott Wedgewood will be returning to the team.
And tonight when the Titans face the Wheeling Nailers, Wedgewood is expected to return back in between the pipes for the Titans. Plus, the team is giving out Wedgewood magnets pins.
The first 1,000 fans through the gates will receive this magnet pins. This promotion was schedule before Wedgewood was returned to Trenton after playing in several games for the Albany Devils.
Wedgewood played in three games for the Devils' American Hockey League team. In those three games, he allowed 9 goals and had a 3.27 goals against average.
He was 2-1 with the Albany Devils.
But with the Titans, he was 17-21-3-2 in 44 games. He had a 3.24 goals against average with Trenton.
With the transition back to Wedgewood, Cal Heeter was assigned back to the Adirondack Phantoms. The 24-year-old Heeter goes back to the Phantoms for his third stint with the team this season.
Two weeks ago, he was called up to the Phantoms for a game against the Connecticut Whale on March 9th. Then, he was re-assigned back to the Titans the following day on March 10th.
Heeter was 8-13-2 with the Phantoms. He also had a 2.96 goals against average with the Flyers' American Hockey League team.
He was also 3-3 in 8 regular season games with the Titans in two separate stints. He also had a 3.18 goals against average.
He also made a preseason start for the Titans on October 6, 2012 in a 6-2 win at Reading.
