Beautiful snowflakes can add a special touch to your winter wedding décor. Personalize your winter wedding by making crochet snowflakes to decorate your place settings or to use as favors for your guests. Try this crochet pattern from Attic24 for a beautiful snowflake (pattern condensed here into fewer steps).

Materials:

- DK weight yarn (such as Patons Grace)

- Small crochet hook (such as size C/2-2.75)

Abbreviations:

ch – chain

dc – double crochet

sl st – slip stitch

Directions:

1. Chain 5 and join to make a ring.

Round 1: (work the first round out of the ring) ch 1 (counts as 1dc), 1 dc, ch 3, [2 dc, ch 3] 5 times, sl st into first ch1 to join

Round 2: sl st into first ch-3 space, [ch 1, 1 dc, ch 3, 2 dc] in first ch-3 space, [2 dc, ch 3, 2 dc] in each of the ch-3 spaces, sl st into first ch 1 to join

Round 3: sl st into first ch-3 space, [1 dc, ch 3, 1 dc, ch 5, 1 dc, ch 3, 1 dc, ch 2] into first ch-3 space, repeat in each of the remaining ch-3 spaces, sl st into first dc to join and fasten off yarn.

· Remember to block your completed crochet snowflakes to give them the exact shape you desire. Simply pin the damp snowflakes to a flat surface and when they dry, they will maintain their shape!

Have fun!
