Create a truly memorable wedding favor by burning your favorite songs onto a CD for guests to take home. Include songs that were included in the ceremony, or songs that have special meaning to you as a couple. If you are musically gifted, include songs you have written and recorded (maybe even for each other!)
Resist the urge to make another romantic compilation that, in all honesty, may never even make it to the CD player (or iPod). Think about making a playlist that you would listen to while doing something you and your fiancé enjoy—if you love to travel, make a road trip mix. Make a dance mix, a karaoke mix, a tailgating mix….you get the idea.
The low cost of blank CDs and printable CD labels make these wedding favors very budget-friendly. You can buy them at any general electronics stores such as Fry’s. (See website for locations in San Jose, Fremont, Campbell, Palo Alto, and Sunnyvale).
Packaging:
Have fun with the packaging of your CD favor. You can easily decorate a plastic CD case with ribbon, textured paper, or stickers. Make your own CD cases by folding pieces of cardstock into CD envelopes and securing with a ribbon or a sticker. See the slideshow above for more details on making a petaled CD case or view Eileen's blog. You can also purchase petal envelopes such as the one pictured above at favorstudio.com
Have fun!
