Website Wednesday- Haute, haute, haute

Born within all fashionistas is the desire and appreciation for the finer things in fashion. Sadly, these things usually come at a fairly high cost.

Thanks to the wonderful world wide web the decision no longer has to be made between paying rent and purchasing that perfect pair of shoes or designer jeans.

An absolute favorite (and not necessarily well-known) mecca of deals on designer items is Hautelook.com. Just become a member and you have immediate access to any of the great deals they have available. Not to worry- membership is completely free! All you have to do is fill out the basic info, name and e-mail address, and you will be ready to go.

So what will you find here? Well, it all depends upon the day you visit. The inventory changes every couple of days to keep you coming back. One day you may find True Religion, Coach and some other lesser known (but not necessarily lesser in luxury). The next it may not be clothes or shoes, but Stila make up or some gorgeous jewels to jazz up your wardrobe- all of which are drastically discounted.

Now, before you head to the site thinking you are gonna grab some Chanel for cheap, remember the regular full price of these items. The positive side of this site is that you can get deals anywhere from 30% to 70%, but 70% of a lot can still be, well, a LOT. You are getting a great deal, but don't go here expecting nearly free prices.

That said, although this may not turn into your immediate go to place for online shopping, it's still pretty nice being able to add a couple of great designer duds without completely breaking your bank.  Definitely worth checking out. And if you like what you see, send out the info to friends- for every person you refer who joins you get $10 worth of credit for shopping!

Stay frugally fashionable!
