The Weber State men’s basketball team continues to be recognized for a stellar 2013-14 season that almost ended with an upset of No. 1 seed Arizona at the NCAA Tournament.

On Tuesday, April 1 it was announced that guard Davion Berry has been selected to play in the Reese’s All-Star Game featuring 21 of the best college seniors in Division I.

The game will take place at AT&T Stadium in Dallas later this week as part of Final Four festivities and will be televised on a tape-delay on CBS.

Berry, a senior from Oakland, led the Wildcats to a 19-12 record, Big Sky Conference regular season and postseason championships and an automatic berth in the NCAA Tournament.

Berry’s team earned accolades during March Madness, taking No. 1 seed Arizona to the wire in the round of 64 before losing. He had 24 points to lead the Wildcats in that game.

For the season, he averaged 19 points per game for Weber State and was also named as an honorable mention selection to the AP All-America team earlier this week.

Berry joins BYU guard Tyler Haws as one of only two Utah-based college players to receive such distinction.
