For beloved Today show weatherman Al Roker, keeping his weight steady after gastric bypass surgery is a constant struggle. After losing 140 pounds, he regained 40 pounds, he confessed to a Parade magazine reporter recently.
"I worked hard at getting those off again," he said of the 40 extra pounds. "It's less food in, and more exercise." And it doesn't help that Al doesn't like exercising but loves to eat. He's even written cookbooks, such as Al Roker's Hassle-Free Holiday Cookbook: More Than 125 Recipes for Family Celebrations All Year Long
Al's favorite foods: "roasted chicken, roasted potatoes, and grilled asparagus." As for his exercise routine? Not such a favorite. "There are people who enjoy working out," he sighed. "I'm not one of them. It's necessary...but I hate every minute of it!"
