WEATHERBOX...........Tonight at The Visual Arts Center

San Diego based indie rockers WEATHERBOX are coming to The Visual Arts Collective here in Boise (Garden City, actually) on Wednesday February 10th. Boise is just one stop on a tour that started February 4th and will wrap up back in San Diego, CA. on March 25th. The tour includes a stop at the Harvest of Hope Festival in St. Augustine, FL. on March 13th. The band will be supporting their sophomore LP, “The Cosmic Drama” (Doghouse Records) and will be bringing along the newly recorded “Christpuncher 7” which will be available shortly on iTunes.

WEATHERBOX founding member, vocalist/guitarist Brian Warren says “Touring is always exciting, but something about this one has got me pretty giddy. Possibly because of it’s ridiculous length, possibly because of the Harvest of Hope Fest, or just the fact that the new band slays old ‘Box songs’ with dull knives. But most likely because I’m excited about playing new WEATHERBOX songs for old fans. Either way, it shall be one for the books, that’s for sure.”

Alternative Press Magazine recently commented “ Frontman Brian Warren and his band musically fuse together Cursive, Criteria, Say Anything and other progressive post-hardcore groups who are capable of rocking out smartly and with purpose”.

Since I just found out about this show today, I realize it’s short notice, so here’s the WEATHERBOX website in case you can catch them somewhere else on the tour.
