Taking a look across the forecast area, we see that high pressure has settled to the East of the MS Gulf Coast, this has allowed for the return of humidity and hot weather, also look for isolated thunderstorms for the next five days during the afternoons. High temps will be in the lower 90's and overnight lows in the upper 70's.

Boat and Beach Weather: The region will see a chance for isolated t-storms during the afternoons through the forecast period. Temps will remain in the upper 80's for most locations with 90's near the coast. Winds will range from 7-15mph across the entire region from the coast, to Ship Island and the Open Gulf. Waves will range from 1-2ft near shore to 3-4ft in the Open Gulf.

A look around the country.

Northern Plains: A frontal system is moving through this evening, this will bring an end to the showers and thunderstorms, behind it look for strong northwesterly winds in the 30-40mph range to pick up and usher in clearing skies along with cooler temps, this will give way to return flow by the weekend allowing for temps to warm back up in the region.
