Today’s Weather Synopsis…

A weak frontal boundary will drop southeast through the region today, but with limited forcing and plenty of warm air aloft, there is only a slight chance of a spotty afternoon shower or thunderstorm with the best chance across areas south and east of Albany where more instability will be realized and the front will take longer to reach. A spotty damaging wind gust or small hail report also cannot be ruled out in these areas.

High pressure will then build in from the Great Lakes on Thursday, bringing breezy, slightly cooler, and less humid conditions behind the front into late week. A slow-moving frontal system will then impact the region into the Labor Day weekend and become stationary, bringing a return to humid conditions and unsettled weather for the holiday.
