After leading by seven points to open the 4th quarter the Magic were outscored by ten in the final frame and fell 108-105 Wednesday night. The loss marked the tenth in a row for the team and second straight on the road. Jameer Nelson once again led the way with 20 points to go along with 8 assists. Continuing his bid for 6th man of the year, J.J. Redick came off the bench and added 17 points hitting on 4 of his 8 shots from downtown. Aaron Afflalo was welcomed with a loud applause in his return to Denver, where he was a fan favorite during his three seasons. He had 12 points before he fouled out of the game.
Denver got a big night from forward Kenneth Faried, who had 19 points to go with 19 big rebounds as Orlando was shorthanded inside with Glen Davis still out. Ty Lawson had 19 points as well along with 8 assists. The bench for Denver was huge, as Corey Brewer had 16 points and Andre Miller added 18 of his own.
Another tough loss for Orlando as it seemed like they had a chance to win the game late but came up short. During their ten game losing streak they have only been outscored by 74 points with 37 coming in a blowout loss to Toronto on Dec. 29. In other games they have been close but unable to close the game out losing by less than five points six times, including two overtime losses. The Magic return to the court Saturday as they head to Staples Center to take on the Los Angeles Clippers at 3:30 ET. The game will be the third on their four game trip away from home.
