For the second week in a row, "We're the Millers" was No. 1 for movie digital sales and rentals from Nov. 25 to Dec. 1, 2013, according to Rentrak. The list includes Internet Video on Demand (iVOD) and Electronic Sell-Through (EST), for both Standard-Definition and Digital HD movie purchases and rentals. (Rentrak's chart for movies on demand is a chart that ranks movies rented through traditional TV outlets.) A veteran pot dealer (played by Jason Sudeikis) creates a fake family as part of his plan to move a huge shipment of weed into the U.S. from Mexico. So he recruits a stripper (played by Jennifer Aniston) and two teen misfits (played by Emma Roberts and Will Poulter) to pose as his wholesome family, who call themselves the Millers. "We're the Millers" also stars Ed Helms, Nick Offerman and Kathryn Hahn. "We're the Millers" got mostly negative reviews from critics but was a huge hit at the box office.

"Red 2" re-entered the chart at No. 2. In "Red 2," the high-octane action-comedy sequel to the worldwide sleeper hit, retired black-ops CIA agent Frank Moses reunites his unlikely team of elite operatives for a global quest to track down a missing portable nuclear device. To succeed, they’ll need to survive an army of relentless assassins, ruthless terrorists and power-crazed government officials, all eager to get their hands on the next-generation weapon. The mission takes Frank and his motley crew to Paris, London and Moscow. Outgunned and outmanned, they have only their cunning wits, their old-school skills, and each other to rely on as they try to save the world—and stay alive in the process. Starring Bruce Willis, John Malkovich, Mary-Louise Parker with Anthony Hopkins and Helen Mirren, Catherine Zeta-Jones, Byung Hun Lee, Brian Cox and Neal McDonough. "Red 2" got mixed-to-negative reviews and did mediocre business at the box office.

"Man of Steel" dropped from No. 2 to No. 3. A young boy learns that he has extraordinary powers and is not of this Earth. As a young man, he journeys to discover where he came from and what he was sent here to do. But the hero in him must emerge if he is to save the world from annihilation and become the symbol of hope for all mankind. Starring Henry Cavill, Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne, Diane Lane, Kevin Costner, Michael Shannon, Antje Traue and Russell Crowe. "Man of Steel" got mixed reviews from critics, but that didn't stop the movie from being one of the biggest blockbusters of the year.

"Elysium" debuted at No. 4. In the year 2159, two classes of people exist: the very wealthy, who live on a pristine man-made space station called Elysium, and the rest, who live on an overpopulated, ruined Earth. The people of Earth are desperate to escape the planet’s crime and poverty, and they critically need the state-of-the-art medical care available on Elysium – but some in Elysium will stop at nothing to enforce anti-immigration laws and preserve their citizens’ luxurious lifestyle. The only man with the chance bring equality to these worlds is Max (played by Matt Damon), an ordinary guy in desperate need to get to Elysium. With his life hanging in the balance, he reluctantly takes on a dangerous mission – one that pits him against Elysium’s Secretary Delacourt (played by Jodie Foster) and her hard-line forces – but if he succeeds, he could save not only his own life, but millions of people on Earth as well. "Elysium" got mixed reviews from critics and fell short of box-office expectations.

"The Heat" jumped from No. 6 to No. 5. Uptight FBI Special Agent Sarah Ashburn (played by Sandra Bullock) and foul-mouthed Boston cop Shannon Mullins (played by Melissa McCarthy) couldn’t be more incompatible. But when they join forces to bring down a ruthless drug lord, they become the last thing anyone expected: buddies. "The Heat" was a big hit with critics and movie audiences.
