We owe her Thank you

World Archaeological Congress – 7, 13 -18 January, 2013, Dead Sea, Jordan. WAC President – Claire Smith

All over the world archaeologists today pronounce one name as a name of Mother Goddess. She looks like Mother Goddess, she knows like Mother Goddess, and she acts like Mother Goddess. You need to be in the kitchen of archaeology to understand how important in this moment is to have her, our Mother Teresa, Aphrodite, Great Mother, Mother Earth, Sophia Loren among archaeologists – everybody and everything that means beauty, positive value, empathy, enthusiasm, love, friendship, knowledge, strongness … Everything that means human is embedded in her.

If you read her biography (see below), you understand –if you are talent, if you study, if you spend your time for positiveness only, if you believe in real values, if you work hard, if you believe in people, if you communicate humanity, if you love archaeology and archaeologists – you can succeed in archaeology! She has been changing the image of archaeology, she makes the young believe in archaeology and the victims of the archaeological criminalism, corruption and psychotronic terrorism to believe that everything soon will be over, that the clouds will go away and the sunny sky of archaeology will be also soon for them, very soon…

Any who wants to become new Gordon Childe, new Jan Hodder or new like her, is also full with energy thanks to her – if she did it, they also can make it! Archaeology with her means freedom, optimism, love, friendship, beauty, dedication, and great value.

In these hot for her days she probably has been not sleeping enough and she probably cries time by time, because one of her most precious children will be soon given away to another parent. And everybody worries who will be this parent, since they are not many like her. The young need to believe in future, but the future depends on people, and the people in archaeology are of so different sorts.

However, non-archaeologists humanists will probably also discovery her. She can be our new Hillary Clinton, changing direction of all global world toward peace, humanity and beauty.

For now, we know she worries whether the buses will be on-time, whether sessions will start on-time, or whether one or another guest will find the right hotel and the right Conference room.

It is hot today in Dead Sea. Because very soon is beginning the World Archaeological Congress. It starts with President our Mother Goddess Clair Smith and will finish with another parent for the next at least four years.

And just before the beginning of this wonderful event, from all over the world our warmest, grateful – Thank you, Claire to having you and to making us believe that archaeology is really a great value in our globalizing world!

Good luck to all participants at Dead Sea World Archaeological Congress which will try to trace a new wide road of humanity in the field of one of the most popular disciplines in the world – archaeology!
