A Daily Word from the Word for Thursday, April 17, 2014
“But those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint.” – Isaiah 40:31
While I was on my computer, and printing some documents, I clicked on the “OK” button that popped up to notify me of a printing error. In truth, I had become accustom to this error message, as it manifests every time I print something; and am embarrassed to say it has been going on for some time now.
As I clicked on the customary message this time, I felt the Lord speaking to my spirit saying “why do My children settle, by accepting the everyday errors in their lives as normal?” God, of course, is always right, and I am so grateful to my Holy and Perfect Father for constantly pouring out His revelation to all of us.
We have become so accustom to error messages, that we not only accept them, but we expect them. In the same way we casually click on the error messages on our systems, we click “OK” to the everyday error messages that have become part of our daily lives! Why do we? This, my brothers and sisters, is called settling. And God wants us, His sons and daughters, to start soaring. When we are stuck on settling, we can’t even get to the runway to begin our journey of soaring in God’s best.
I am declaring that settling ends today, family! It ends for me, and it ends for you! Declare it with me! Speak it out! Rebuke the settling for second best, and call in soaring in God’s best!
The Hebrew word for “soar” as used in this verse is alah (pr. aw-law), which means “to ascend, mount, arise, cause to burn, cut off, recover, restore, stir up” (Strong’s Exhaustive Concordance). What things that you have been settling for, and are keeping you from receiving and walking in God’s best, do you need to burn down to the ground, my brother? What relationships, which are keeping you low and preventing you from rising up and ascending, do you need to cut off, my sister?
Allow God’s Holy Spirit to stir up His Word inside of you so that you can mount up, arise, and soar high above the clouds, where the wind of God’s best will always carry you to new places in Him.
Father, forgive us for settling when You have called us to soar. Forgive us for accepting second best when You have prepared Your best for us through Your Son, Jesus Christ. Help us, High God, to forsake settling and to embrace soaring. Stir us up with your Word and by Your Holy Spirit, so we no longer settle. In Jesus Name, we thank You that we soar continuously and effortlessly on Your wings of plenty. Amen and Amen!
Take action! Challenge your thinking! Choose to forsake settling and embrace soaring. Choose to reject the errors of the world for the perfection of the Father. Choose to put away settling for second best, and put on walking in Your Father’s best. Choose to reject the rags of unworthiness for the robe of righteousness, which is the Blood of Jesus Christ. And continue to fight the good fight of soaring on wings of eagles; for God, your Divine Gulf Stream, has already given you the victory!
If you have never received Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior, I encourage you to do it today, right now, by saying this prayer out loud: “Jesus, forgive me for my sins. I am sorry. I truly desire to be saved and reconciled back to God, my Father, through You. I receive Your sinless Blood as payment in full for my sins—past, present, and future. I now call You my Lord and Savior, and invite You to live within my heart, and to permanently live within me. I make You Lord over me and over my life from this moment on. Amen.” Congratulations! You are now a child of God, made whole and made new, by the Blood of Jesus Christ!
God tells us that we are blessed to be a blessing (Genesis 12:2). Be a blessing to someone by sending them this word of encouragement. If God did not already put someone in your spirit and on your heart that needs to read this uplifting message from above, simply ask your Heavenly Father who to bless on today. Forward this message right now by email, facebook, or twitter.
Jesus is coming soon!
May God Bless you and keep you always.
