At a pre-holiday party, several of my friends and fellow Memphians and I were discussing facial cleansing systems. I wanted to try the Clarisonic system but just could not justify spending about $200 for it. I wasn’t the only one thinking about that. All six of us agreed that we would purchase the cheaper, Olay Professional Pro X Advanced Cleaning System for about $29.99, and all start using it at the same time – the week of Christmas.
I am thrilled to report the results of our group: We all love this system! Since I’m about to reveal ages, I’ll just give you our first names: Becky, age 53; Paige, age 47; Pam, age 47; Lin, age 63; Jesse, age 60; and Jennifer, age 58. We all agree that our faces have never felt more clean or looked any better than they do right now. You owe it to yourself to try this system!
In the Memphis-area, this system can be found at Walgreens, Target, Walmart, Rite-Aid, CVS, and Ulta. The prices vary from $26 to $29.00.
Note: Check at your local Walgreens cosmetic counter to see if they have coupons left over from an Olay Saturdate they held a few months ago. I visited three different Walgreens scarfing-up several of these cleansing systems to give as Christmas gifts. The Hwy. 64/Germantown Parkway location has a wonderful cosmetics person who offered the coupon to me (it is for $2.00 off!) but I had to ask the cosmetics person at the Hacks Cross/Goodman store for one.
Below is what Olay says about their system, plus a customer review from three different websites.

This brush is the cheaper version of the more expensive brush women have been raving about. This brush works amazingly well. It is gentle (I can even use it to remove my eye makeup) and still effective. It has 2 speed settings, fyi. I would recommend it to anyone!
$26.00 www.walmart.com Customer Review:
I was suffering from dull complexion and skin that was just beaten up by the harshest solutions to acne. It was dry in some spots, oily in others, and so bad that I lived behind thick layers of primers and foundations every day.
I read in a magazine that gently exfoliating your face regularly is the best fix to dull skin. And although a $200 power brush was being promoted in that little article, I wasn't about to blow that much cash on something I'm not sure would work. I did my research and came across this. Still a bit reluctant, I went for it. And what I thought was a hopeless case is now a glowing, supple, clear and fresh face.
The brush is easy to assemble. Just pop the brush in, install the included batteries*, and it's ready to use. It's not too big or heavy and ergonomically designed that adding it to your daily facial-cleaning regimen wouldn't require an adjustment at all. It offers two speeds that you could quickly switch between with one press of a button. The brush itself feels comfortable on the face, not abrasive or scratchy.
I don't use the facial wash that came with it though. I have sensitive skin and the beady consistency plus the brush is a little too much for me. This is it… Finally!
*Note: There are no directions on the box to explain where the batteries go or how to open the battery compartment. The batteries go at the end of the handle (where it says Olay). Hold the unit and grab the end and wiggle it side to side while pulling down to open the battery compartment.
$26.99 (normally $29.99) www.walgreens.com Customer Review:
I purchased this brush 3 months ago and have used it 1-2 times per day. Aside from cleaning well, it seems great to help slough off dead cells leaving the skin a little brighter. It must help improve circulation a bit. It feels so good, I've actually gotten more consistent with my skin care. I alternate different cleansers with it. I have not experienced ANY problems with it as some users have. I travel for work and so it gets packed and bounced around a lot in a small travel case. I leave it in the shower frequently with no problems. Although I am a budget conscious person, for the price and improvement in my skin, I would replace it every 3 months if I had to. Highly recommend it.
