Though rumors have been circulating for sometime regarding a remake of Final Fantasy VII, it seemed for the most part Square Enix has all but ignored the fan's pleas to remake the game. But president and CEO Yoichi Wada, recently gave Final Fantasy VII fanboys (myself included) something to hope for. He told Siliconera that there is a possibility of a remake of the PlayStation classic.
“Right now we don’t have a clear direction, but many fans have requested we remake Final Fantasy VII,” Wada stated. “We’re going to explore the possibility – whether or not we’re going to do it, if we’re going to do it and the platform.”
Those words may not mean much to most, but it's great to hear that they are at least considering a remake of not only the best game in the series, but arguably one of the greatest RPGs of all time.
