On Oct. 19, 2013, American Biblical scholar Joseph Atwill will appear before the British public to reveal his incredible new discovery that comes along with an ancient confession. The PRWeb UK reported on Oct. 8, 2013, that the findings reveal the New Testament was written by first-century Roman aristocrats and that the entire history of Jesus Christ was invented by them.
Atwill's presentation is going to be a part of the symposium called "Covert Messiah" on Oct. 19, 2013, at Conway Hall in London.
This is all evidence that Atwill says it conclusive and he believes that it will be accepted by everyone in time. It is known that this information is sure to upset a great number of people, but he will still present it in full.
"I present my work with some ambivalence, as I do not want to directly cause Christians any harm," he acknowledges, "but this is important for our culture. Alert citizens need to know the truth about our past so we can understand how and why governments create false histories and false gods. They often do it to obtain a social order that is against the best interests of the common people."
Atwill's research argues that Christianity didn't actually begin as a religion, but more as a sophisticated project of government. He continues on to say that the project of Christianity was used to help pacify the Roman Empire.
"Jewish sects in Palestine at the time, who were waiting for a prophesied warrior Messiah, were a constant source of violent insurrection during the first century," he explains. "When the Romans had exhausted conventional means of quashing rebellion, they switched to psychological warfare. They surmised that the way to stop the spread of zealous Jewish missionary activity was to create a competing belief system. That's when the 'peaceful' Messiah story was invented. Instead of inspiring warfare, this Messiah urged turn-the-other-cheek pacifism and encouraged Jews to 'give onto Caesar' and pay their taxes to Rome."
Moving on to the story of Jesus Christ, and Atwill states that Christ wasn't even based on a real person from time or history. Atwill says that Jesus Christ is quite possibly the "only fictional character in literature whose entire life story can be traced to other sources."
He says that once those sources are proven to be false, there will be nothing left of the story of Jesus Christ.
Atwill doesn't believe that his research and information will be the end of Christianity, but he sees it as a chance for those wanting to leave the religion to have a "clean break." His evidence is said to reveal exactly where the story of Jesus came from.
