WE HAVE LIFTOFF, PART 2: First look inside McCartney Fireman deluxe box (slideshow)

What's inside the deluxe Fireman set? See the slideshow at the bottom of the page. (Thanks to John Lomas for the pics.)

They were supposed to be out as early as January, then they were delayed until February, then delayed again.

But now it appears the deluxe edition of "Electric Arguments" is finally being shipped. Someone actually has one in hand.

That would be John Lomas, who's in the UK. Here are his descriptions of the set:

After recovering from the shear weight of the package, open up the giant jiffy bag & reveal a small potato sack looking bag with a giant "F" on it. Perhaps this stands for the amount of time weve had to wait for it (f---ing ages).

Inside you find a plain steel box no writing on it, not hinged a lid and base inside the lid is a sticker in the form of a engineer's recording sheet written on here is in red felt a contents list and a drawing of a fat man with a box where pauls wrote, "This is not a pizza. Enjoy..."

In addition, John later sent this:

The contents is as previously described on your page. The CDs come in a red book like folder with gold writing on front. Inside is the track listings and the four discs laid out, no cases. The two art prints are the electric arguments wall we've seen paul painting in the run up to its release and a mural of a cityscape with Fireman and several other drawings. Then there's the book (with) all pictures lp size. And the LP double vinyl of the full album. Pictures to follow..."

You can see the pictures, which John sent us, in the slideshow below.

I just bought one from a local CD/Record shop . They had 3 in stock and none of them had the outer bag with the "F". The metal box was shrink wrapped.

    Any ideas?
    Thanks.
