We Bought a Magazine

See also

Remember the movie, "We Bought a Zoo!". They jumped in head-first, without a whole lot of knowledge ahead of time. Well, we aren't exactly like that; Neal and I both have extensive experience in writing and telling stories and also in photography and video. However, without the backing of the formidable TownePost Media Group, we would never have taken this on.

TownePost Media Group started ten years ago with the tiny 4-page atGeist Community Newsletter. Now it has grown to an 80+ full-color magazine, full of articles about the people and events in the Geist area of Indianapolis. Fishers, Carmel, Zionsville, CenterGrove and now Lawrence followed suit. Noblesville, Morse and Broadripple will jump in with March, 2014 the first issue.

So, we are proud to be the publishers of this new Lawrence Community Newsletter. It mails monthly to 9000 households, plus is available at local Kroger, Marsh and CVS locations. We are intent on providing interesting stories and good information to people who live in the area. Each month we include information from the Chamber of Commerce, the Mayor's office, and school district, as well as highlighting (and financially supporting) a local charity. And that's just the start!

If you have a good story to share with us about the Lawrence area, please contact us. Otherwise, follow us on and Twitter/lawrenceindiana and of course the website

We welcome your suggestions and comments!
