During the snowstorm we metropolitan Washingtonians experienced this week, driving was the last thing on most our minds. However, with temperatures becoming spring-like later next week, driving to win should maneuver to the forefront of our minds if we plan to slalom our way to victory during the 2014 WDCR Solo (Autocross) Season!

WDCR is Washington DC Region of the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA). Solo, or Autocross, is the very popular and easy to enter timed racing event where drivers test their skills through a challenging course outlined with bright orange cones. Held in the parking lot of FedEx Field, Solo is low cost, high adrenaline fun for all.

Season subscriptions are on sale now for $240. Don't want to commit to a full season? No problem! Individual event cost is $40 for SCCA members and $50 for non-members. Note that SCCA membership is a pretty sweet deal. In addition to getting your SCCA membership card, car decals and other valuable perks, you get the clubs national monthly publication, SportsCar!
