WCST bowlers to compete in Las Vegas

So who’s going to be named the bowler of the year for the West Coast Senior Tour in 2014?

It’s wide-open at this point with four players having won the first four events.

Thirty players are signed up for Saturday’s WCST 60-and-older tournament at the Orleans Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas.

That includes three bowlers who have won WCST titles in 2014 – Steve Heinzman of Parker, Ariz.; Dick Baker of Henderson, Nev.; and Craig Kisro of Granada Hills.

The other titleist – Kevin Gannon of Lakewood – apparently will not participate. Gannon is the WCST’s all-time money winner.

In the WCST’s most recent tournament in late April, the 61-year-old Kisro claimed the title at La Habra 300 Bowl in La Habra, Calif.

The right-handed Kisro blasted a 278 game en route to claiming the first seed in the stepladder finals. Kisro, who has rolled 13 perfect games and five 800 series, defeated Baker in the championship match, 226-182.
