According to Rick Outzen, the host of "IN Your Head Radio" (a local weekday program dedicated to news in general and discussions) for WCOA-FM (100.7), the reason for the program's first absence on Wednesday, January 29th, while a recording of the most recent edition of "The Kim Komando Show" (a national weekend program dedicated to technology news and advice) was broadcast in its place was due to his absence from the broadcast studio for his program on account of frozen precipitation and closed bridges preventing him from traveling to the studio. As for the program's second absence on Thursday, January 30th, during the first 30 minutes of its regular time period (11:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.) while the same edition of "The Kim Komando Show" was broadcast in its place for that period, it was due to his arriving to the studio later than usual on account of traffic congestion (his drive to the studio lasted nearly two hours).
(note: WCOA-FM usually broadcast the newest edition of "The Kim Komando Show" on Saturday between 5:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. and on Sunday between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m.)
