The mid summer heat is here making it hard to take our pets out around town. Kansas City people know how to make do however, and prove it by holding lots of local pet friendly events! Remember to keep plenty of water handy for you and your pet when the temperature goes up, and never leave a pet unattended in a car. Heat inside a car can quickly overcome your pet and can cause serious injury and death.
For all the cat lovers in Kansas City, Wayside Waifs is featuring an adoption drive that can't be beat. Low prices for the adoption are certainly an incentive to adopt, but so is the fact that Wayside Waifs does such good work here in town, and who can resist the cute face of a cat needing a home? Feline Fridays are held every Friday in July.
Feline Friday, 2–8 p.m.-Adopt a kitten under 5 months old for $60 or adopt a cat over 5 months old for $15. Adopt a second kitten/cat for free.
