If this is too far out of the financial budget the Crown Plaza is a great place to have an evening among adults. If spending the weekend at a resort or hotel is not within the budget; no need to worry. Affordable day activities can be found all over Chicago. Here in Wheaton, the Danada Equestrian Center offers hayrides during the summer and sleigh rides during the winter season. Add a picnic to this festivity and you can spend the afternoon in a peaceful beautiful setting with your new husband. Of course, for those sports buffs visiting Soldier Field for a football game is always a way to celebrate your commitment together. If football is not your cup of tea there is always the Cubs or the White Sox.
Lastly, if you can only take a couple of hours to yourselves a trip to a day spa are always worth while. Many day spas offers single services such as manicure, pedicure, massage, facials, waxing and etc. Call ahead and set appointments for simultaneous services. Many day spas offer simultaneous massages for couples and this may be a real treat for both of you.
Whatever outlets are chosen to create and celebrate your marriage they should be the right ones for you and your groom. Affording an extra splurge may be a possibility but if you have a tight budget there are many solutions to celebrating your marriage without invoking extra stress.
