With Dr. Seuss's 109th birthday coming up this weekend, and in honor of his birthday the National Education Assocition has marked March 1, 2013 as it's annual "Read Across America Day" -there are many ways to celebrate:
Tulsa Parks- Dr. Seuss on the Loose celebration at Whiteside park's craft room March 1, 3:30 -4:15p.m. Cost is $6 for ages 2-5 yrs. old. Celebrate with stories, snacks, and activities. Please see the Tulsa Parks website /fun guide for more information.
Tulsa Libraries- Happy Birthday, Dr. Seuss at the Central Library Children's Dept 9a.m. -5p.m. Drop in anytime to make a Dr. Seuss craft this event is for ages 4-8 ; Dr. Seuss Live Board Game March 2, 1-2p.m. at the Martin Regional Library test your skills by playing our live board game -This event is for ages 5-12 and their families. NEA'S Read Across America -There are lots of events happening at schools -etc. across the nation check out their website for more information.
Fun at home- Of course if you can't make it to these events you can find some fun printables here and some more fun printables and games here and here.
