“The Dr. Oz Show” premieres on Monday with television personality and comedian, Wayne Brady who opens the season with a healthy dose of laughter and a new segment, “Whose Embarrassing Condition is It, Anyway?”
During a recent press conference, Dr. Oz discussed the all-new season that will include fun and humor, because laughter is the best medicine. With this new premise in mind, the premiere of “The Dr. Oz Show” has the cure-all when Dr. Oz sits down with the cast of the hilarious comedy-improv show, “Whose Line Is It Anyway”, Wayne Brady, Aisha Tyler and Colin Mochrie. Following the outline from CW’s “Whose Line Is It Anyway”, Dr. Oz and guests play a game to see if they can tell the real from the fake when it comes to medical problems with strange names.
Wayne Brady then discusses his childhood battle with social anxiety and tells Dr. Oz how he overcame his condition, and proves it with an impromptu performance of a new Dr. Oz themed disco tune, “I Didn’t Need That Kidney Anyway”.
When you’re a kid and you get bullied, I would get so worked up and so anxiety-filled, that I couldn’t get the thing I wanted to say out, so I thought, well, I’ll just shut up. And acting helped. And especially doing improvisation and learning to just go with what’s on the top of my head and let it flow.
