Listen to all tracks and download on Wayland's Reverb Nation page- today
-Kellie Levans-Milwaukee Rock Music Examiner
Reno, the latest release by Michigan rockers, named for their shared home town, Wayland , is kicking off , their biggest tour yet. Facebook was all a jamming today as The Examiner , shared the track to over 5,000 in the industry and fans alike. (request Reno by Wayland to be spun on your local rock stations)
Jesse James Dupree (Jackyl) (Full Throttle Saloon) and Jude Cole (Lifehouse) , are seasoned in the school of rock and manage these four passionate musicians, putting them on a stage near you.
Welcome To My Head , having success on FM radio and Sirius Octane alike, is now in rotation, while the new cut RENO-is ready to rock you and your friends.
Other tracks like Down On My Knees, reveal a faith and revelation of a band , who has survived some hard knocks, and are now ready to utilize all they have learned ; to transfigure the rock sound, into a modern onslaught of talent, sound, production, and tremendous endurance.
Covering Michigan's own, Bob Segar's , FIRE DOWN BELOW, was enough to get me up and writing and rocking today.
The vocals of Mitch Arnold, are all his own, yet screams of Plant (as in Robert) echo and soar over any speaker system , and experiencing the tone and range of Arnold live is a must for any classic rock fan.
Dean Pizzazz on Bass, keeps that rock line-but taps and rumbles up all the tracks from Wayland.
Phillip Vilenski, an obvious guitar maestro , has the talent , technique, and style all guitar players need. Vilenski, really could be a solo artist all on his own, but his band is his brotherhood.
Drums? I would say "Percussion Perfectionist," -timing Tyler Coburn has it, double bass, when needed, tricks to boot.
Ask for Wayland to play in a city near you. I hope to see and interview Wayland at Summerfest this June/July 2014.
